LaTourell's location on Moose Lake, being the closest resort to Basswood Lake, the Boundary Waters and Canada, is without a doubt the gateway to the best fishing waters in the area. Our housekeeping cabins allow you to enjoy this wilderness setting within the comfort of our modern accommodations. After spending the day fishing the famous Moose Lake Chain and Basswood Lake, hiking on the excellent trails adjacent to the resort, or canoeing on one of the many surrounding lakes, you'll be able to relax and enjoy the sunset from the deck of your cabin overlooking Moose Lake. Each cabin has a completely equipped kitchen (including microwaves), modern bathrooms and showers, and comfortable bedrooms with all bedding provided.

From our location, you will have the easiest of access into some of the best fishing waters in North America. Our lakes are famous for outstanding smallmouth bass, walleye and northern pike fishing.

Deluxe Boat Tent Camps

This alternative to cabin accommodations allows you to camp inside the Boundary Waters wilderness with the comforts of cabin-style luxuries. Our base camps are set up on famous Basswood Lake, world renowned for its excellent fishing. Year after year Basswood Lake produces many trophy smallmouth bass, walleye, and northern pike. This scenic lake, with its numerous bays and islands, is one of the only lakes in the Boundary Waters wilderness that permits boats and motors.

From our base, the closest jumping off point to Basswood, a member of our staff will travel with you to your private campsite to set up camp and will return again for take down.

Pet Policy

We encourage you to leave your pets at home, however, pets are allowed (except for cabin #10) upon approval. Criteria for pet behavior will be included with your confirmation letter and at check in.
Pet Fees are: $25/day or $130/week per pet.
